About Us
One day, I decided to make soap.
After suffering from mold poisoning—followed by a series of other health complications—I began eliminating products containing harsh chemicals and endocrine disruptors. Like many people on a health journey, I started paying close attention to what I was putting on my body, not just in it. That meant rethinking cosmetics, personal care, and everyday household products.
During this "cosmetic purge", I travelled to Greece and was lucky enough to fit in a short visit to Sicily. I had the pleasure of meeting a wine maker, Nele and his wife - they also made cold processed soap from their harvested olive oil and donkey milk. Donkey milk soap is very popular in Europe, it turns out! They gifted me a parting package of their incredible handmade product and the rest is history.

Upon returning home I decided I, too, wanted to make my own soap! Why not?
That way I knew exactly what I was putting on my skin. I made my first batch in my kitchen and, after allowing it to cure for four weeks, I gave it out to friends and family to try. Everyone was hooked! Making soap and hearing positive reviews brought me tremendous joy. So many people with skin conditions messaged me daily to relay how their skin had improved. I was mind blown by the feedback! Within a very short period of time I had outgrown my kitchen. The demand intensified, which lead to the soap lab expanding into my living room! My friends thought I was crazy. I worked endlessly, creating batch after batch to come up with the perfect formula. Eventually the demand grew so much that I had to move the “soap lab” into my garage and basement. My new obsession lead to making soap almost daily.

I took a small break for a year. In September 2025, I moved to a small commercial spot. Somehow I managed to recruit my sister and brother to assist in helping scale this hobby into a bigger, better operation. My sister is a whiz at backend administration, whereas my brother is keen on automation - creating new and improved soaping equipment and "making swirls" in the soap loaves. I continue to formulate, design and make the soap. My true passion…making small batch handmade soap... is done with an abundance of love. Turns out it's my love language!
Thank you for reading my story. We are on to the next phase of this journey and to everyone that has supported me since day one, it does take a village.
Much gratitude,
Marie
